SRivera's Review of Fearless by Max Lucado

It was interesting to see the numerous times Jesus addressed the issue of fear. Max Lucado clearly talks about the relation between fear and our confidence in God and how fear is related to control in "Fearless"(link to my amazon store). The book really helped me understand most of my fears and most importantly, gave me important keys to get rid of them. The author uses a lot of analogies to help the reader understand the idea but one idea that really impacted me was the fact that, Fear is optional. Wow!

Another interesting part was how Max Lucado uses moments of fear in the life of Jesus and how He overcame them. With multiple bible verses and biblical history he puts everything in great perspective. Lucado pictures scenes from his life and applies them amazingly to the text. The book is an excellent resource; my favorite chapter is 7, where I consider he gives the most amounts of ways to overcome most of our fears. "Fearless"(link to my amazon store) was actually the first time I read a book from Max Lucado and this won’t be the last.
